New Chicks in Town

Introducing.....Two Friends in Pecking Order

Alice and Joanie B.

-- by Laurenjoan

"we're a couple 'a library chicks looking for adventures
(and stories to tell) whatever comes our way...."

"Born to be wild
Get your motor running
and head out on the highway."
Joanie B: What do chickens say when they come to the library?
Alice: Book! Book!

Laurenjoan: The story of Alice and Joanie B. (B for Boss) -  the chickens looking for adventure - begins at their coop library (a.k.a. The Milpitas Public Library) where stories live in harmony with all creatures--great, small, short, tall, feathered and furry.

I'm sure you've heard of library cats, such as Dewey or Homer.  Alice and Joanie B. are here to prove that library chickens do exist in the world and they squawk their own thoughts, dreams, and love for libraries.

Alice and Joanie B. may lay their eggs at the Milpitas Library, but they will fly to the Coopertino Library or hitch a ride on the Bookmobile or peck a little garlic at Gilroy Library. They may even fly the big birds in the sky to places beyond - all in the spirit of adventure and stories to tell...blogs to write.

Hey look! Alice and Joanie B. found these books to take a peck at:
Louise
Louise - Longing for adventure, intrepid Louise leaves her comfortable nest and goes to sea.
Chicken Dance
Chicken Dance - Determined to win tickets to an Elvis Poultry concert, hens Marge and Lola enter the Barnyard Talent Show, then, while the ducks who usually win the contest jeer, they test out their abilities... and the sequel:
Bawk & Roll
Bawk & Roll - "Dancing chickens Marge and Lola have flown the coop to shake, wattle, and roll on tour with superstar singer Elvis Poultry. Will the hens bawk at fame and lay a rotten egg in concert? Or will they rise to the top of the pecking order and give the crowds something to crow about?"--
The Trouble with Chickens
The Trouble with Chickens - A hard-bitten former search-and-rescue dog helps solve a complicated missing chicken case.

BAWK!  that's the story for now...stay tuned for continuing adventures...(horsefeathers! a couple 'a little chicks named Fluffy and Nugget have been peeping about the SCCLD Bookmobile and a Food Truck Stop just scratching distance from the Milpitas Library). Clik, Clak, Cluck, CLUCK!
