La la la la la la... (twirl around with your partner)

Joanie B: Woooohooo - that's the Chicken Dance, Alice.

Alice waggled her tootsie, flapped her wings and twiiirrlled around and plopped on the ground.

Alice: Wraawk! I've got the Chicken Dance down - to the ground! Thanks, Joanie B.

Music is literacy - in sounds and rhythm, in culture and memory - and especially for preschoolers, there is no separation between music and self. Music is the beginning of knowing the world and its puzzles, how things fit and move together. Music is the builder of pre-reading skills in sound recognition and auditory details like associating sound to source. Add dancing to the music and children are helped in their development of spatial awareness skills.

Singing songs together is fun and builds a child's memory as it creates memories! When you sing songs you enjoy, your child picks up that enjoyment and responds. Good vibrations indeed!
